Tired of the typical quizzes you give your pupils to check understanding? Would you like to evaluate them in a more creative and fun way? One pagers are what you are looking for! They are great activities for pupils to make connections and work on different thinking skills. I have started using one-pagers last year with my high school students and cannot stop!! I mean it! One of the tasks I gave my pupils after reading the novel “Face” by Benjamin Zephaniah was completing a one-pager. I gave them instructions on what they had to include and a rubric. The results were awesome!! Just have a look ⤵️
My high school students enjoyed this mini-project so much that I started using one-pagers with them. I’ve used them after watching movies, to analyze varied current events and to work on SEL (Social Emotional Learning). I also created a one pager for the back to school season, and another one as an end-of-the-year reflection (you can read about the latter in this post).
Of course all these projects were done in class and students were given clear and detailed instructions together with a rubric. In general, they took 2 hours to complete them.
Once their one-pager projects were ready, they handed them in and I graded them using a checklist which included the criteria we had analyzed and worked on when we read the rubric.

These are just some ideas I’ve had! Feel free to print or edit these FREE ONE PAGERS and use them as you like!! I’m sure YOUR high school students will love one pagers as my pupils did! I’d be deligted to see how you use them in class! You can share with me your ideas! 😉
